On November 14, we officially premiered Dualist Days, our newest video project with Ornot, and got to celebrate it properly with a full house in San Francisco.
Shot across the city, the film follows Ornot rider Teddy Hayden and local legend Dylan Buffington as they rip through neighborhood hills, tight corners, and fast, playful lines that make SF feel like a giant riding playground. It’s everything we love about the Dualist: responsive, fun, and built for wherever your line takes you.
Set to an original track by James Nixon, the video carries the same energy as the ride itself: upbeat, gritty, and full of fun.
To kick off the release, we teamed up with our friends at Ornot for a premiere night in SF, and the turnout blew us away!
DJ Hyphidelity (aka Fran) kept the place buzzing with beats, beers were flowing, and there was a ton of stoke around the short film. The shop and sidewalk were packed from start to finish, and it felt like the entire riding community came through to hang out, talk bikes, and watch Dylan and Teddy tear up the streets. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us. You made the night unforgettable!
We shot the entire film in one day, moving through the city in a kind of organized chaos that fit the spirit of the project. The planning was collaborative; everyone threw in their favorite and best spots in SF, and once we had our loose route, we let the day take over. Every corner, sprint, and setup came together with ease, inspired by classic skate videos with fast cuts, street energy, and that raw, in-the-moment feel.
With Albert Strietmann behind the camera and Calvin Dunbar on the skate cam, the film drops you right into the middle of the ride. No over-planning, just the real rhythm of a day out in SF with friends, linking lines and seeing where the city takes you.
