When you’re riding the Dualist, it feels like a modern cross-country/trail bike—stable, confident, and fun. The stack, reach, bar width, and seat tube angle are designed to mimic a mountain bike’s riding position. The head tube angle and fork offset provide similar MTB steering and handling characteristics, though the bike feels lighter and more responsive due to the carbon fork and lighter tires.
You can adjust the chainstay length for your preferred ride feel:
• Short position: more poppy and playful
• Long position: more planted and stable
The fork offset can also be switched between 44 mm and 54 mm:
• 54 mm: quicker, more agile steering
• 44 mm: slower, more self-centering feel
These are the standover heights, measured with 29×2.4 tires:
• Small: 740 mm
• Medium: 760 mm
• Large: 795 mm
• X-Large: 825 mm
Experiment with these settings to match your riding style—the out-of-the-box configuration is an excellent starting point. See the Geometry chart [here]
The frame is made from butted 6061 aluminum tubes. The bottom bracket shell is forged in two pieces, and welded down the middle, this allows for internal cable routing through the bottom bracket and chainstays. The fork is made from a combination of unidirectional and 3k weave carbon fiber and has a carbon steerer.
Both the frame and fork are tested to ASTM 3 standards. Our bikes are designed for rough trails, rough unpaved roads, and rough terrain and unimproved trails that require technical skills. Jumps and drops are intended to be less than 61cm (24").
Keep your Dualist clean by rinsing off mud and dirt after rides, then dry all components thoroughly to prevent rust. Check the drivetrain regularly—keep the chain clean and lubricated, and inspect the gears for wear. Make sure the tires are properly inflated and free of cuts or punctures. Routinely check bolts and axles for proper torque, inspect the brakes, and ensure the wheels are true.
With simple, routine maintenance, your Hudski Dualist will perform smoothly and last for years to come.
